The Yamaha 831L ( Duet model) is a full professional oboe with an Ebonite lined top joint.
In addition all the tone holes are lined with resin to provide stability and maintain airtightness.
The Oboe is a new addition and I am very impressed with how it plays. The Oboe is very even throughout the entire register with accurate intonation. The Oboe really resonates and has a great bloom.
I think very favourably compares to the other top Oboe makers.
